Every Fourth of July about 100 participants partake in what has become a Hermosa Beach Fourth of July Tradition.  First you paddle out a mile, than you run a mile, then you drink six beers.  If you don’t throw up and you do it faster than everyone else… you win!

It can be very exciting. And very gross.  And strangely patriotic…
